CosmoCaixa (February · Febrero 2018) - T-Rex Trix

In the previous posts I talked about my last visit to the CosmoCaixa museum in Barcelona. I have already talked about the museum itself and showed photos of some of the animals that live there.

In this post I will tell you about my experience at the T-Rex Trix exhibition, where there was exhibited a real skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex called Trix and could be visited until May of this year. This was the reason why I made this visit to the museum, I like dinosaurs and everything related to them, being the T-Rex my favourite.

In order to access, you had to show your entry so that the reviewer could read the code with a machine. Once done, you could go up the stairs until you reach the exhibition hall where the first thing you saw was the impressive skeleton.

En las anteriores entradas hablé sobre mi última visita al museo CosmoCaixa, de Barcelona. Ya he hablado sobre el museo en sí y mostrado fotos de algunos de los animales que viven allí.

En esta entrada os voy a contar mi experiencia en la exposición T-Rex Trix, en la que había expuesto un esqueleto real de un Tiranosaurio Rex llamado Trix y se podía visitar hasta mayo de este año. Este fue el motivo por el que hice esta visita al museo, me gustan los dinosaurios y todo lo relacionado con ellos, siendo el T-Rex mi favorito.

Para poder acceder, tenías que enseñar tu entrada para que el revisor leyese el código con una máquina. Una vez hecho, ya podías subir por las escaleras hasta llegar a la sala de exposiciones donde lo primero que veías era el impresionante esqueleto.

In this second entry of my visit to the CosmoCaixa museum in Barcelona I will show you photos of the flooded forest and some of the animals that live in the museum.

The flooded forest is a space in which the habitat of the Amazon rainforest has been recreated. The temperature and humidity are also adapted so that the animals can feel comfortable. But as I mentioned in another post, I don't like to see the animals caged or in tiny aquariums.

Esta segunda entrada de mi visita al museo CosmoCaixa de Barcelona os voy a enseñar fotos del bosque inundado y algunos de los animales que viven en el museo.

El bosque inundado es un espacio en el que se ha recreado el hábitat de la selva del Amazonas. La temperatura y humedad también están adaptadas para que los animales se sientan cómodos. Pero como ya comenté en otra entrada, no me gusta ver a los animales enjaulados ni en acuarios minúsculos.

On February 4, I went with my parents to the CosmoCaixa museum in Barcelona. It was a rainy day and we had planned to go because they had exposed the skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, so as I like dinosarurs and being this my favourite one, I couldn't miss the visit to the museum.

I will divide the photos into three entries so that there aren't so many photos and text, that I know it tires a lot. This first entry will be dedicated to the museum in general, the second one to the animals that live there and in the third one I will publish the photos of the skeleton of the T-Rex.

To go to the museum, I had to take the Metro (subway) and the FCG. The U7 line of the FCG is near the museum, about 10 or 15 minutes walk.

My last visit to the museum was in August 2016, so some things have changed. I also took my DSLR camera instead of the bridge one, so the quality of the photos has improved.

El 4 de febrero fui con mis padres al museo CosmoCaixa de Barcelona. Era un día lluvioso y teníamos planeado ir porque tenían expuesto el esqueleto de una Tiranosaurio Rex, así que gustándome los dinosarios y siendo este mi favorito, no podía faltar la visita al museo.

Dividiré las fotos en tres entradas para que no haya tantas fotos y texto, que sé que cansa mucho. Esta primera entrada estará dedicada al museo en general, la segunda a los animales que viven allí y en la tercera publicaré las fotos del esqueleto de la T-Rex.

Para ir al museo, tuve que coger el metro y los FCG. La línea U7 de los FCG queda cerca del museo, a unos 10 o 15 minutos andando.

Mi última visita al museo fue en agosto de 2016, así que algunas cosas han cambiado. También me llevé la cámara réflex en lugar de la bridge, así que la calidad de las fotos ha mejorado.

CosmoCaixa Barcelona - August/Agosto 2016

The first Sunday of the month the entry to access the science museum in Barcelona, now known as CosmoCaixa, is free. The last time I visited this museum was many years ago and I wished to visit it after the reform of 2014. I remembered it as a fun museum where you could play with different experiments and time fly there, so after all this time, I decided to go with my mother.

As I live in a town near Barcelona, I had to take the bus, metro and Ferrocarrils Catalans de la Generalitat (FCG) to arrive to CosmoCaixa. It took us over an hour to arrive despite having caught transport with no waiting.

Just outside the FCG station I saw parked the Tramvia Blau (blue tram) and at that time passengers were taking it to enjoy the route.

El primer domingo de mes la entrada para acceder al museo de la ciencia de Barcelona, ahora llamado CosmoCaixa, es gratuito. Hacía muchos años que no iba a dicho museo y tenía ganas de volver a visitarlo después de la reforma del 2004. Lo recordaba como un museo divertido en el que podías jugar con distintos experimentos y el tiempo se pasaba volando, así que después de todo este tiempo, decidí volver a ir con mi madre.

Como vivo en una pequeña ciudad cerca de Barcelona, tuve que coger el autobús, metro y Ferrocarrils Catalans de la Generalitat (FCG) para poder llegar al CosmoCaixa. Tardamos más de una hora en llegar aún habiendo cogido el transporte sin esperas.

Nada más salir de la estación de los FCG vimos estacionado el Tramvia Blau (tranvía azul) y en ese momento estaban subiendo pasajeros para disfrutar de la ruta.
