Happy New Year 2018! · ¡Feliz año nuevo 2018!

Another year has ended to start a new one. And here you have me from the first day to wish you all a happy new year. I hope this 2018 comes with many pleasant surprises for everyone.

Otro año ha terminado para dar comienzo a uno nuevo. Y aquí me tenéis desde el primer día para desearos a todos un feliz año nuevo. Espero que este 2018 venga con muchas y agradables sorpresas para todos.

Dolls & Party 2015 Barcelona - Review · Reseña (2)

In my previous post I told you how it had been my experience at the Dolls & Party event this year, but I didn't finished telling everything about it and show all the pictures I took, which were many. So I will continue with the review.

The hall was large and you could walk serenely and look at everything with ease, at least in the afternoon, when I went. There was also air conditioning and was relatively good to stay there. Also I have to say that as I was only in the afternoon, I couldn't see how it was in the morning and for what my friends from Sweet~Angel~Kawaii told me, it was quite busy and there was some other agglomeration.

I have to remember that the lighting was not good to take pictures, so many photos were blurry and/or dark .

En mi anterior entrada os conté cómo había sido mi experiencia en la Dolls & Party de este año, pero no terminé de contarlo todo ni enseñar todas las fotos que hice, que fueron muchas. Así que continuaré con la reseña.

La sala era grande y se podía andar tranquilamente y mirarlo todo con facilidad, al menos por la tarde, que es cuando fui. También había aire acondicionado y se estaba relativamente bien. También tengo que decir que como solo estuve por la tarde, no pude comprobar cómo fue por la mañana y por lo que me contaron mis amigas de Sweet~Angel~Kawaii, estuvo bastante concurrido y hubo alguna que otra aglomeración.

Tengo que recordar que la iluminación no era buena para hacer fotos, así que muchas fotos salieron borrosas y/u oscuras.

Dolls & Party 2015 Barcelona - Review · Reseña (1)

On July 4 was held the 2nd edition of the event Dolls & Party, devoted to BJD, Pullip and Blythe dolls. As I said in a previous post, I bought my ticket to attend. It's amazing how quickly time passes because have already passed several days of it.

I went to the event with my mother, you know that she also likes and collects dolls and although we didn't go for the whole day, we had a blast. I'll tell you how was the day in several entries because this is going to be very long.

We left home after lunch at past 13:30h to take the bus that leads to Plaça Espanya. There we had to take the Line 1 of the subway to "Glories" station and then take the tram to the "Maresme" station. Fortunately my mother remembered the tram because the journey is a few minutes only because the other option was to take the Line 4 of the subway, which are more stops and much slower. So at about 15:10h we were in the Ballroom of the Hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar.

El pasado 4 de Julio se celebró la 2ª edición del evento Dolls & Party, dedicado a muñecas BJD, Pullip y Blythe. Como ya anuncié en una entrada anterior, había comprado mi entrada para asistir. Es increíble lo rápido que pasa el tiempo porque ya han pasado varios días de ello.

Al evento fui con mi madre, que ya sabéis que también le gustan y colecciona muñecas y aunque no fuimos para todo el día, nos lo pasamos genial. Os voy a contar cómo fue el día en varias entradas porque esto va a ser muy largo.

Salimos de casa después de comer, a las 13:30h pasadas para coger el bus que lleva a Plaça Espanya de Barcelona. Allí tuvimos que coger el metro de la L1 hasta "Glories" para luego coger el tranvía hasta la estación "Maresme". Suerte que mi madre se acordó del tranvía porque el trayecto es de pocos minutos ya que la otra opción era la de coger la L4 del metro, que son más paradas y mucho más lento. Así que a eso de las 15:10h ya estábamos en la sala Ballroom del hotel Hilton Diagonal Mar.

Last year I couldn't attend to the first edition of the Dolls & Party event in Barcelona due to family issues and I wished I could have gone. If you don't know what this is, is a dolls event especially focused in BJDs, Pullip and Blythe.

In October 2014 the Chibi Dolls & Party was held in Barcelona, to which I attended, and despite being such a small event, I had so much fun that I told myself that I had to go to the Dolls & Party 2015 anytime. Well, I can already announce that is official, already I have my ticket!

If some of you is going, maybe we can meet there and it would be very exciting.

El año pasado no pude asistir a la primera edición de la Dolls & Party en Barcelona por motivos familiares y me quedé con las ganas de ir. Por si no sabéis de que se trata, es un evento de muñecas enfocada especialmente a las BJDs, Pullip y Blythe.

En Octubre de 2014 se celebró la Chibi Dolls & Party en Barcelona, a la que sí pude asistir, y a pesar de ser un evento tan pequeño me lo pasé tan bien que me dije que tenía que ir a la Dolls & Party 2015 como fuese. Pues ya puedo anunciar de que es oficial, ¡ya tengo mi entrada!

Si algun@ de vosotros va a ir, tal vez nos podamos conocer allí y sería muy emocionante.

Chibi Dolls & Party 2014

On November 1st the "Chibi Dolls & Party" was held in Barcelona. You don't know what is it? It's a free event about dolls which is being held as opener to the "Dolls & Party" event to be held in July 2015. These events are focuses on collectible dolls as BJDs, Blythe or Pullips. Last July the first edition of "Dolls & Party" was held , but for personal reasons I couldn't attend, so this time I didn't want to miss the "chibi" one, so there went my mother and me. The date coincided with the "Salón del Manga de Barcelona" (Barcelona Manga convention), so it was an extra good option for people who wanted to go to both places. For my part, I stopped going to the Manga convention years ago and I think that I won't go on my own anymore.

As the word says, the "chibi" (small in Japanese) event was held in a hall where about fifteen stands were selling items for dolls and whose entrance was free. From my point of view, it was more focused on Blythe and Pullip than BJDs, but there was stuff for these latter, especially for Yo-SD girls, followed by MSD and tiny.

Any stand was wasted as they were all well exposed and had lovely things, although I focused on taking photos of dolls than the stands. I show you photos I took there, but not of all the dolls and stands that were there:

El 1 de Noviembre se celebró la "Chibi Dolls & Party" en Barcelona. ¿Que no sabéis lo que es? Es un evento gratuito sobre muñecas que se celebra como aperitivo a la "Dolls & Party" que se celebrará en Julio de 2015. Éstos eventos están enfocados a muñecas de colección como BJDs, Blythe o Pullips. En Julio de este año se celebró la primera edición de la "Dolls & Party", pero por motivos personales no pude asistir, así que esta vez no quise perderme la versión "chibi", así que allá fuimos mi madre y yo. La fecha coincidió con el "Salón del Manga" de Barcelona, así que era una buena opción extra para la gente que quería ir a ambos sitios. Por mi parte, hace años que dejé de ir al Salón del Manga ni creo que vuelva a ir por cuenta propia.

Como la palabra dice, el evento "chibi" (pequeño en japonés) se celebró en una sala donde una quincena de stands vendían artículos para las muñecas y cuya entrada era gratuita. Bajo mi punto de vista, estubo más enfocado a las Blythe y Pullips que las BJDs, aunque algo había para éstas últimas, especialmente para tamaño Yo-SD niñas, seguidos de MSD y tiny.

Ningún stand tenía desperdicio ya que estaban todos bien expuestos y tenían cosas preciosas, aunque me enfoqué a hacer fotos a las muñecas que a los stands en sí. Os muestro fotos que hice por allí, aunque no de todas las muñecas ni stands que habían:

Evento de muñecas BJD coreanas en Han-na - 19-05-2013

Last Sunday was the last day of the Korean BJD dolls event at the restaurant Han-na, in Barcelona. That day I could go, so I went there with two friends.

In the event was organizated an exhibition of Korean BJD's, but as all our creatures are Chinese, I couldn't put on display to anyone, though my friends took 6 of their big resin family members (one of them was Chinese), dolls that I hadn't met in person and that day I had the opportunity to meet. All very nice.

As you arrived, people were putting their dolls to display and honestly, I was surprised with the amazing custom they had or I just find them lovely. It was the first time I saw so many BJD's together and it was crazy XD Although something that haunted my head was confirmed, I'm a person made for big dolls, SD from 60cm up and guys with male face and not affeminate (though this doesn't means that others seem to me beautiful, much less). I don't see myself with a Yo-SD size doll, no way (unless it were a gift) and just as I thought, as small as I like are MSD and I still think they're small. For sure they're manegeable and easy to carry everywhere.

As were clothing and accessories for BJD's stands, I took the opportunity to buy eyes and some clothing for Shun, one of my BJDs, because the poor guy doesn't have clothes and everything he's wearing belongs to Toshi and not everything is of his style. So I bought to Michiru (she was one of the girls who were selling stuff) a pair of beautiful blue glass eyes, jeans, white trousers, a set of a shirt + vest and a long sleeves blue T-shirt. As I took Shun there because maybe I would find something for him, I could try the eyes and clothes before to buy anything, so I had the poor doll naked in front of all those people, at least now I can say my stylish boy is completed and I'm going to upload photos of him very soon here and then you'll see how handsome he is. Although I couldn't put my doll on display because he is from a Chinese company.

After shopping, Aikoneko gave a lecture as the official Leeke dealer in Spain and explained how she started with this between several anecdotes. We learned quite a few things, such as Leeke was the first company to market Yo-SD size BJD's.

When the conference ended, Aikoneko distributed some catalogs which Leeke sent her to be distributed between the people who went to this event. And Cristina, the girl who organized the event, also distributed postcards that Fairyland sent to hand out to the people who attended. I was amused that one of my friends gave her a postcard with the photo of dolls that just she doesn't like, so she asked if it would possible to get a postcard with a photo of Chloe instead. She got away with it and got it! XD

At the end, there was a raffle in which the prize was a free dinner at the restaurant. The winner was gone, who would be warned by e-mail.

Apparently, the event has been a success and want to organize a second edition to which I hope to attend with my friends. I think it's great that this hobby is making know and organizating events like this in which to share this hobby with other people.

El domingo fue el último día del evento de muñecas BJD coreanas en el restaurante Han-na, en Barcelona. Ese día pude ir, así que para allá que fui con dos amigas.

En el evento se organizó una exposición de BJD's coreanas, pero como todos nuestros bichos son chinos, no pude exponer a ninguno, aunque mis amigas sí llevaron a 6 miembros de su gran familia resinil (una de ellas, china), muñecos que aún no conocía en persona y ese día tuve la oportunidad de conocer. Todos muy bonitos.

Tal y como llegabas, la gente iba colocando a sus muñecos para la exposición y sinceramente, muchos me sorprendieron por la customización tan impresionante que tenían o simplemente me parecieron preciosos. Fue la primera vez que veía tantos BJD's juntos y era una locura XD Aunque algo que rondaba por mi cabeza se confirmó: soy de muñecos grandotes, SD de 60cm para arriba y de machotes con cara de tío y nada afeminados (aunque esto no quita que los demás me parezcan bonitos, ni mucho menos). No me veo con un Yo-SD ni de broma (a no ser que fuese un regalo) y tal y como pensaba, lo más pequeño que me gusta son los MSD y aún así me parecen pequeños. Eso sí, me parecen manejables y fácil de transportar.

Como habían varios puestos de ropa y demás para BJD, aproveché para comprarle ojos y algo de ropa a Shun, uno de mis BJDs, que el pobre no tiene ropa y lo que tiene puesto es lo poco que puede aprovechar de Toshi. Así que a Michiru le compré unos ojos azules de cristal muy bonitos, unos pantalones tejanos, otros blancos, una camisa a juego con un chaleco y una camiseta azul de manga larga. Como me llevé a Shun por si encontraba algo para él, le pude probar tanto los ojos como la ropa así que ahí tuve al pobre muñeco en pelotas delante de toda esa gente, al menos ya puedo decir que mi chico elegante está completo y pronto subiré fotos de él para que podáis ver lo guapo que está. Aunque a él no lo pude poner en la exposición al ser un muñeco de una casa china.

Después de las compras, Aikoneko dio una conferencia como representante de Leeke en España y nos estuvo contando cómo empezó con esto entre varias anécdotas. Aprendimos bastantes cosas, como por ejemplo que Leeke fue la primera casa en comercializar BJD's de tamaño Yo-SD.

Cuando la conferencia terminó, Aikoneko repartió unos catálogos que Leeke le había enviado para repartirlos en el evento. Y Cristina, la chica que organizó el evento, también repartió unas postales que Fairyland envió para repartirlas entre la gente que asistió. Me hizo gracia que a una de mis amigas le diesen una postal de unos muñecos que precisamente no le gustan nada, así que reclamó y pidió si se la podían cambiar por otra en la que apareciese una Chloe en la fotografía. Se salió con la suya y lo consiguió XD

Al terminar, se hizo un sorteo en el que el premio era una cena gratis en el restaurante. El ganador se había ido, al que avisarían por e-mail.

Por lo visto, el evento ha sido todo un éxito y quieren organizar una segunda edición a la que espero poder asistir con mis amigas. Me parece estupendo que este hobby se vaya dando a conocer poco a poco y se vayan organizando eventos como este en los que poder compartir este hobby con otros aficionados.

We are Versailles!

In June is the 5^th anniversary of the J-Rock band Versailles and the Street Teams have organized a project to celebrate it where I wanted to participate: link. When I read the rules, immediately this photo shot with the kids came to my mind. Is a pity that Danielle hasn’t finally be able to participate, I’m still waiting for her body to be send from China and it wasn’t suitable to include a floating head around there T_T

Para Junio se celebrará el 5º aniversario del grupo Japonés Versailles y los Street Teams han organizado un proyecto para celebrarlo en el que he querido participar: link. Cuando leí las normas, enseguida me vino a la cabeza esta sesión con los críos. Es una lástima que finalmente Danielle no haya podido participar en esta sesión, aún estoy esperando a que envíen el cuerpo desde China y no era adecuado poner una cabeza suelta por ahí en medio T_T

Megabread! / ¡Megapan!

Last December 3^rd my father brought a giant bread. We didn't weigh it but it would weigh around 5kg.!! He told us that a baker who he knows gave him. I thought it would be funny to take a photo of this big bread with Maiko and Norlij. They were scared when they saw how big it was XD ...And we took 8 days to eat it...

El pasado día de 3 Diciembre, mi padre trajo un pan enorme. No lo pesamos, pero pesaría alrededor de 5 kg. Nos dijo que se lo había dado un panadero que conoce. Pensé que sería divertido hacer una foto de ese pan tan gigantesco con Maiko y Norlij. Se asustaron cuando vieron lo enorme que era XD ...Y tardamos 8 días para comérnoslo...
