My new smartphone · Mi nuevo Smartphone: Redmi Note 7

After four years, my cell phone's microphone broke down. I was in doubt of whether to repair the phone or to buy a new one, so after thinking carefully I decided that it was time to have a new phone. My old smartphone is a Wiko Rainbow Lite that works perfectly but I decided not repair it because I'm afraid that the microphone has broken because of the humidity and I'm afraid of spend money for repair and it gets damaged again in a short time, as has happened to other people that I know and have only had bad experiences with the repair of "old" phones. Investigating, I discovered that Wiko phones are prone to spoil with humidity, so I decided to leave it as it was and use it for other things, using the money for the repair in a new phone. I was also tired that Android never updates, it came with the 5 Lollipop version and with that continues. And if you ask, yes, I have updated manually and never found updates for it, only for applications.

Después de cuatro años, el micrófono de mi móvil se estropeó. Estuve con la duda de si llevar a reparar el teléfono o comprar otro nuevo, así que después de pensarlo detenidamente decidí que ya era hora de tener un teléfono nuevo. Mi antiguo smartphone es un Wiko Rainbow Lite que funciona perfectamente pero decidí no llevarlo a reparar porque me temo que el micrófono se ha roto por culpa de la humedad y me da miedo gastarme el dinero de la reparación para que se vuelva a estropear en poco tiempo, como les ha pasado a otras personas que conozco y que solo han tenido malas experiencias con la reparación de móviles "viejos". Investigando, descubrí que los Wiko son propensos a estropearse con la humedad,, así que decidí dejarlo como estaba y utilizarlo para otras cosas, empleando el dinero de la reparación para un teléfono nuevo. También estaba cansada de que el Android jamás se actualizase, vino con el 5 Lollipop y con ese sigue. Y por si os lo preguntáis, sí, he actualizado de manera manual y jamás encontró actualizaciones al respecto, solo para aplicaciones.

Sant Pollín 2019

From the 11th to the 14th July the "Sant Pollin" festival was held in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). This festival is inspired by the San Fermín bull runs in Pamplona and in which no animal is mistreated and no person is physically at risk in the bull runs. The festival also begins with txupinazos and there are two runs, the night one on Friday and another one on Saturday morning. I only went to the one on Saturday.

Del 11 al 14 de julio se celebró la fiesta de "Sant Pollín" en El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). Esta fiesta está inspirada en los encierros de San Fermín de Pamplona y en la que ningún animal es maltratado ni ninguna persona corre riesgo físico en los encierros. La fiesta empieza también con txupinazos y hay dos encierros, el nocturno del viernes y el de la mañana del sábado. Solo fui al del sábado.

Sant Jordi 2019

On the 23rd April was the World Bood Day, although in Catalonia we celebrated it as Sant Jordi, our patron. Here is tradition to give a rose or a book and people often go for a walk in the center of Barcelona as it's full of book stands of books and roses in almost any corner and even your favorite writer may be signing books.

Although my beloved doggy passed away on the 6th April, life goes on and therefore, my mother and I decided to go for a walk in the morning in my town.

El 23 de abril fue el día del libro, aunque en Cataluña lo celebramos como Sant Jordi, nuestro patrón. Aquí es tradición regalar una rosa o un libro y la gente suele salir a pasear por el centro de Barcelona ya que está lleno de puestos de libros y rosas en casi cualquier esquina e incluso puede que tu escritor favorito esté firmando libros.

Aunque mi queridísimo perrito falleció el 6 de abril, la vida sigue y por lo tanto, mi madre y yo decidimos salir a pasear por la mañana en mi ciudad.

Today I have to communicate sad news, on Saturday 6th, Simba, my doggie, closed his eyes for the last time.

In this post I will write everything that happened from that day until he returned home in an urn. I need to write to find tranquility, so you aren't required to read this entry if you don't want to. 

Hoy tengo que comunicar una triste noticia y es el pasado sábado día 6, Simba, mi perrito, cerró los ojos por última vez.

En esta entrada voy a escribir todo lo que pasó desde ese día  hasta que volvió a casa dentro de una urna. Necesito escribir para sacarlo todo fuera, así que no estáis obligados a leer esta entrada si no queréis.

International Women's Day 2019 - Día Internacional de la Mujer 2019 (Barcelona)

Last Friday 8th was the International Women's Day. This day nothing is celebrated, we must commemorate it and continue with the struggle for equality so that the violence and inequality that women suffer will disappear someday.

In my previous post I told you how I spent the morning in my city, El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), so today I tell you how I spent the afternoon at the demonstration in Barcelona.

The beginning of the demonstration was in La Gran Via de Les Corts Catalanes and Plaça Espanya, I arrived about 6 in the afternoon to Plaza Espanya. The demonstration would start half an hour later.

El pasado viernes día 8 fue Día Internacional de la Mujer. Este día no se celebra nada, hay que conmemorarlo y seguir con la lucha por la igualdad para que desaparezca la violencia y la desigualdad de la que sufrimos.

En mi anterior entrada os conté cómo pasé la mañana en mi ciudad, El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), así que hoy os cuento cómo pasé la tarde en la manifestación de Barcelona.

El inicio de la manifestación fue en La Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes y Plaza Espanya, llegué sobre las 6 de la tarde a Plaza Espanya. La manifestación daría comienzo media hora después.

International Women's Day 2019 - Día Internacional de la Mujer 2019 (El Prat de Llobregat)

Yesterday was International Women's Day. This day nothing is celebrated, we must commemorate it and continue with the struggle for equality so that the violence and inequality that women suffer will disappear someday.

In El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) there was a demonstration that ended in the Vila square, next to the town council, and a concentration. I attended the concentration because I couldn't attend the demonstration.

Ayer fue el Día Internacional de la Mujer. Este día no se celebra nada, hay que conmemorarlo y seguir con la lucha por la igualdad para que desaparezca la violencia y la desigualdad de la que sufrimos.

En El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona) hubo una manifestación que acabó en la Plaza de la Vila, junto al ayuntamiento, y una concentración. Asistí a la concentración ya que no pude asistir a la manifestación.
