From the 11th to the 14th July the "Sant Pollin" festival was held in El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). This festival is inspired by the San Fermín bull runs in Pamplona and in which no animal is mistreated and no person is physically at risk in the bull runs. The festival also begins with txupinazos and there are two runs, the night one on Friday and another one on Saturday morning. I only went to the one on Saturday.
Del 11 al 14 de julio se celebró la fiesta de "Sant Pollín" en El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona). Esta fiesta está inspirada en los encierros de San Fermín de Pamplona y en la que ningún animal es maltratado ni ninguna persona corre riesgo físico en los encierros. La fiesta empieza también con txupinazos y hay dos encierros, el nocturno del viernes y el de la mañana del sábado. Solo fui al del sábado.
The town criers were the firefighters of El Prat. When I arrived, I saw that they were going up to the balcony while doing a show pretending to put out a fire (made of cardboard).
Los pregoneros fueron los bomberos del Prat. Cuando llegué, vi que estaban subiendo al balcón mientras hacían un espectáculo simulando que apagaban fuego (de cartón).
El Pollo was also ready to run after people. He's the main protagonist.
El Pollo también estaba preparando para salir corriendo detrás de la gente. Él es el gran protagonista.
The firefighters wanted to scare people with that jet of water. It fell on me a bit and it was appreciated since it was quite hot.

Los bomberos quisieron asustar a la gente con ese chorro de agua. Me cayó un poco encima y fue de agradecer ya que hacía bastante calor.

It is all very harmless and family friendly.

On Sunday the festivity ends and El Pollo makes a rute through several streets until he reaches the porch of the library, where people will sing "Pobre de mí" ("Poor me").
In the photo El Pollo is dancing. I didn't stay to see the whole route, although I did go to see how they sang "Pobre de me" out of curiosity, of which I didn't take photos.
