Goodbye Alan Rickman · Adiós Alan Rickman

Last week was bad. I dedicated an entry to David Bowie and within days there was another loss. I said I hoped not to have to write about something so sad for a long time but it hasn't been possible. As you might know, Alan Rickman died last Thursday, also at the age of 69.

I liked his interpretation as Professor Severus Snape in Harry Potter, my favorite character. In our memories we will have his films.

La semana pasaba fue mala. Ya le dediqué una entrada a David Bowie y en pocos días ocurrió otra pérdida. Dije que esperaba no tener que escribir sobre algo tan triste durante un largo tiempo, pero no ha podido ser. Ya sabéis que Alan Rickman nos dejó el pasado jueves, también a la temprana edad de 69 años.

Me gustó mucho su interpretación como el profesor Severus Snape en Harry Potter, mi personaje favorito. En los recuerdos nos quedarán sus películas.

The year has a bad start. I would have liked to start it in the blog differently, but I can not help dedicating an entry to the recently deceased David Bowie. Who has not ever hummed any of his songs? I will also remember with fondness the film "Labyrinth", in which he played the Goblin King and was part of my childhood and I still like to watch.

El año ha empezado mal. Me hubiese gustado empezarlo en el blog de otra manera, pero no puedo evitar dedicarle una entrada al recientemente fallecido David Bowie. ¿Quién no ha canturreado alguna vez en su vida alguna de sus canciones? También recordaré con cariño la película "Dentro del Laberinto", en la que interpretó al Rey de los Goblins y formó parte de mi infancia y que aún hoy me gusta ver.

Os invito a escuchar la canción "Life on Mars?", canción de la que no me canso de escuchar.

Dog Grooming course (update November) · Curso de peluquería canina (actualización noviembre)

As I said, I'm attending to a dog grooming course. I started in mid-September and I have done more than 100 hours of practice already.

In this time I have learned to bath, dry and brush dogs properly and I started doing hygiene with dog clipper, using dog clipper (also with comb on the clipper), to cut nails and hairs on pads, to remove hairs of ears, to do haircuts with scissors... There are many things that are done in the grooming salon to get dogs as beautiful.

But I had a small "problem". As I'm a left-handed, I had to buy scissors and stripping knives for lefties. Unfortunately there isn't much to choose for us and thanks to my teacher, I got scissors and knives at a reasonable price.

Como ya comenté, estoy haciendo un curso de peluquería y estética canina. Empecé a mediados de Septiembre y ya llevo más de 100 horas de prácticas.

En este tiempo he aprendido a lavar, secar y cepillar perros correctamente y también empecé a hacer la higiene con la máquina, pasar el recalce (peine en la máquina esquiladora) y la máquina, cortar uñas y los pelitos de los plantares, quitar los pelitos de los oídos, hacer cortes de pelo a tijera... Son muchas cosas las que se hacen en la peluquería para dejar a los perritos guapos.

Pero tuve un pequeño "problema". Como soy zurda, tuve que comprar tijeras y cuchillas de stripping para zurdos. Lamentablemente no hay mucho para elegir para nosotros y gracias a mi profesora, conseguí tijeras y cuchillas a un precio razonable.
